Welcome to Spotted Gum Retreat
Spotted Gum Retreat is a two-storey besser-brick and timber pole house. Built in the 1990’s, with the feel of a classic country cottage, the house comprises hardwood timber floors, shiplap panelling in the upper rooms and timber decks surrounded by a lush garden stocked with native plants. Described by guests as a winning combination of both spacious and cosy, it has all the comforts of a home away from home.
The home can sleep up to 8 people. There are two bedrooms upstairs, the larger one overlooks farmland and Gulaga mountain. The larger bedroom sleeps 4, with a queen bed and 2 single bunk beds. The smaller north-east facing bedroom is located behind a half-wall, with a queen bed. Entry is via a small office area with an enclosed bathroom that is accessible to the other bedroom via the internal upstairs landing. Both bedrooms have a small private deck. In the living area downstairs, there is a quality Plush queen size sofa bed.

We had an excellent time in this beautiful cottage. It felt like our own home. The house is well organized, heaps of space, clean and tidy. We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it

Loved Spotted Gum Retreat. We had a memorable and rejuvenating week. The house is made for relaxing, the area offers interesting and unexpected treats, such as Central Tilba and the Tilba Valley Winery, and there is enough wildlife in Mystery Bay that we made a spectacle of ourselves stopping to gawp. I’d go back in a heartbeat
Thoughtful and helpful host, and the place was just like a home away from home. Many extra little things as well as loads of streaming service for the quiet nights. The seeds for the king parrots, eastern rosellas and rainbow lorikeet made every sunset a real dream.
Our family had a wonderful stay in Elizabeth’s place. The house was well equipped, clean and comfortable and was close to beautiful beaches and walks
House was beautiful and clean had a great fireplace that warmed the property. Had quite a number of toys and other activities for the kids to use. The local wildlife enjoyed a visit most days
After busy weeks at work, walking into Spotted Gum retreat set the tone beautifully for a relaxing weekend away. Thank you- we enjoyed our stay
